Our Plan…
Our association’s goal is to bridge the gap between our students and employers, through info sessions and networking events.
Throughout the year, we host multiple networking events aimed at both public practice and the industry, to give our accounting students as much exposure as possible, to help them make an educated decision on their career path.
Additionally, we host other events such as info sessions and clinics to help build our students knowledge and allow them to advance, by representing themselves as best as possible.

What we offer:
Public Practice Networking
With relationships with the majority of public practice firms, we are able to host exclusive networking events, aimed at introducing our students to the most credible firms in the nation.
We create opportunities for students to network with The Big 4, all national firms, medium-sized firms and also boutique firms.
Industry Networking
For the past few years, we have made an effort in extending our reach outside of just public practice, and since 2017 have successfully hosted multiple industry events.
These industry events are aimed at students who don’t wish to pursue a career in public practice, and are a great way at making connections that extend outside of their studies.
Volunteering Opportunities
BCITAA is actively involved in the community through different volunteer programs.
Our biggest event is the Annual Tax Clinic that we have held at our Burnaby campus. This clinic is organized by the CVITP (Community Volunteer Income tax Program). Volunteers who participate in helping the community file their taxes walk away with certifications given out by the CRA for their contribution with this volunteer program.
